I am very happy to announce that Chris Carmody is joining
our pastoral team as Director of Ministries.
Chris will play a leading role in helping us to coordinate
our efforts as we seek to become the evangelizing parishes
that Disciples in Mission has called us to be.
Many of you know Chris from his work at St. Mary’s School. He has worked with many of our young parishioners in the past coordinating the March for Life in Washington D.C., the Hunger for Justice Retreat on Good Friday and Holy Saturday and numerous pilgrimages for World Youth Day. Chris has had ministry roles in many other parishes most recently working as Faith Formation coordinator for Immaculate Conception Parish in Salem, a part of the Salem Catholic Collaborative.
Chris will soon be reaching out to all of you as he seeks to learn more about our parishes.

Our beloved Fr. Frank Cloherty is featured in an article by Susan Abbott, Pastoral Planning, Disciples In Mission. Here is the beginning of the article:
“The bumper sticker speaks volumes: ‘God Bless the Whole World. No Exceptions.’ After just a few minutes with Father Frank Cloherty it is obvious that this is not just a slogan, it is his prayer. Time with Father Cloherty is time well spent. Father Francis Cloherty was ordained February 1962 and has served in many parishes in the archdiocese, north, south, suburban, and urban, by the shore and near the mills”

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Do you know any adults who may be thinking about becoming a Catholic or completing their sacraments? Lynn Catholic Collaborative offers a welcoming, gentle and prayer-filled path to a (deeper) relationship with Jesus and to full-fledged membership in the Catholic Church. So that they can find out more about this process (which is known as the RCIA), please urge them to speak to one of our pastoral staff or to call the Collaborative Office at 781-598-4907 or Admin@LynnCatholic.org. Although the RCIA is an on-going process, we will be meeting formally later in the fall. Now is a good time for you to let us know of possible candidates for RCIA.
We are excited to announce that our new Collaborative email is active. Please add us to your contact eList firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!

AC, FAN or NOT?
During the hot months of July and August, it is a challenge to keep everybody comfortable in the church and chapel buildings. If you find it to be too cold or too noisy by a fan or air conditioning unit please be considerate of others and do not shut them off. Instead, please consider moving your seat to another area of the building where you too can be comfortable.
Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
The Saints and You
Would you like to talk about the Saints’ stories and their relevance to your own personal journey? Do you realize the great gift you are given in the Saints? We are, the Letter to the Hebrews tells us, surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses
(see Heb. 12:1).
The Followers of our Saints’ Lives would like you to join their group on Wednesday evenings in the St. Pius V Pastoral Center, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, to meet these living friends who are concerned about us, friends with whom we can form relationships, friends we will meet in eternal life,
and friends who yearn to help us.
