Gerry Souza, our seminarian from St. John’s in Brighton, has returned for his eight weeks summer assignment. Please welcome Gerry when you see him and continue to keep him in your prayers as he continues with his formation.

Welcome Bishop Uglietto
We welcome Bishop Peter Uglietto as we celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the 11:00am Mass. Confirmation candidates and their sponsors are reminded that there is a rehearsal on Tuesday, May 15th beginning with the 5:15pm Mass in the Chapel.

R.E. Family Breakfast
Attention All Religious Education (R.E.) Families
Pancake Breakfast!
On Sunday, May 20, 2012, we will have our May Procession immediately following the 9:00am Mass. We will proceed to the Mary statue by the school and place a crown of flowers on the head of our Blessed Mother. We will then enjoy a pancake breakfast in the cafeteria.

Those who received First Communion are encouraged to wear their First Communion outfits as they partake in this event.
All Religious-Ed students and their families are invited.
Memorial Day Mass
MEMORIAL DAY MASS
We will celebrate Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2012 at 9:30am. Coffee and donuts following Mass across the street at the Knights of Columbus (K of C). In the event of rain Mass will take place inside the K of C.
Please note: There will be no 9:00am Mass and no 5:15pm Mass at the parish on this day.

Please join us as we pray for all of our beloved deceased, especially those who have served in our armed forces.

Last year St. Mary’s Cultural Fair international exhibits included: Bhutan, Cameroon, Congo, Croatia, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Ireland, Iraq, Italy, Nigeria, Philippines, St. Lucia, Sudan, Uganda, United States, Vietnam. We hope to have your country represented!
Kirby Hayes Scholarship
Applications for the Kirby Hayes Scholarships are now available
at the rectory. The deadline for applications is Friday,
June 1, 2012. Each year college scholarship awards are
made through the Kirby Hayes Scholarship Fund that
is administered by St. Mary’s Parish for active St. Mary’s
parishioners entering college in the fall.
New Altar Server Training
Any youngster who has made his or her First Communion is invited to become an Altar Server!!

If you are interested in learning more and training for this ministry, please join Fr. Brian in the main Church on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 12:00pm (noon).

WITNESS TO TRUTH SUMMER 2012
July 9th-13th
Marian Retreat Center, Medway
Cost: $300 (on of before June 1), $340 (on or before June 29), $375 (regular registration fee anytime after June 29).
Witness to Truth is a dynamic overnight leadership institute designed for Roman Catholic high schoolers who have completed grades 9, 10, 11 or 12. It utilizes interactive workshops, large group experiential learning activities, and small group processing. Spiritual disciplines are encouraged and practiced through prayer, the sacraments, and looking at the varied leadership styles of saints. The result is that each participant deepens their own faith, knowledge, and skills in order to become a greater leader and witness to truth back in their home, parish, school, and community

Witness to Hope is an exciting overnight leadership institute specially designed for Roman Catholic Middle Schoolers who have just completed grades 6, 7 or 8. We use a very high-energy interactive workshop model that utilizes multiple learning styles and develops the skills required for various forms of leadership and peer ministry. The entire time is surrounded by the Sacraments and different prayer experiences that will feed, encourage, and equip the young people for Catholic leadership.
